About Palm Jumeirah

Palm Jumeirah is a palm-shaped island developed by Nakheel. Construction began in 2001, and the first residents moved in around 2006. The island added roughly 560 km of shoreline to Dubai and holds villas on the fronds, apartments on the trunk and crescent, and a string of luxury hotels and resorts.

A 5.4 km monorail runs along the trunk, Nakheel Mall provides everyday retail, and the airport is about 23 minutes away. Beachfront villas and branded residences make the Palm one of the city's most recognisable luxury addresses.
