About Downtown Dubai

Downtown Dubai is Emaar's flagship mixed-use district, covering roughly two square kilometres and reported at around US$20 billion in cost. Construction began in 2004, and the district now holds the Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall, the Dubai Fountain, Dubai Opera and a dense cluster of residential towers and hotels.

Living here means walking to restaurants, retail and cultural venues around Burj Lake and Boulevard. DIFC is about five minutes by car and Dubai International Airport around fifteen, which is why Downtown remains one of the city's most recognised addresses for residents, investors and visitors alike.
